Friend-proof your diet.
You may have some friends who may not support your goals, whether intentionally or not.
How to Change Your Relationship with Food
Many of us have been on just about every diet out there. Sometimes you lose, but sometimes not. The common denominator in the past has always been that the weight has come back…Why?
Staying active in the cold.
During the summer time it is easy to be active outdoors. To continue these healthy habits, be sure to stay bundled up during the colder months so you can take a brisk walk after lunch.
Keep exercise fun.
Don’t do the same exercise day after day. Challenge yourself to try something new each week…you never know what you will discover about yourself!
Think before you snack, and then make a healthy choice!
Often times you may think you are hungry, but really just thirsty, or bored. Drink a big glass of water first, and ask yourself if you still need a snack.
Take pride in yourself!
You need to realize that you are important and that living a healthy lifestyle is the best way to love yourself, and the best way to be there for those people around you. You should always be the number one priority!
Stop giving yourself excuses.
There really is no excuse for not taking control of your life and being healthy. Don’t be one of those people that constantly says “I’ll start tomorrow.” Today is the day to make the decision to live the life you imagine! Excuses add up to pounds gained.
Avoid restaurant portions.
When you eat out remember that restaurant portions tend to be able to feed a family of 3-4. You don’t need that much, actually NO ONE DOES!
Keep a food journal.
Food journals- even simple entries will help you to stay focused and peel away the pounds!
Don’t let your life make you unhealthy!
Weight can creep back on your body because of stress and life changes. Address the issues and get past it!
