Keep healthy food options. Keep fresh, green vegetables and healthy Fuelings around the house so there’s always a healthy snack within reach. Before you go grocery shopping, make a list of healthy food options to avoid impulse buying.

Cook at home. Cooking your Lean & Green meals at home instead of eating out is easier on your budget and makes it easier to avoid temptations that aren’t around in the home setting. Also, by preparing your meals yourself, you’ll know exactly what’s in it and won’t have to worry about unhealthy ingredients. Cooking larger servings also ensures that you’ll have healthy leftovers for the next day.

Find healthy alternatives. The next time you are confronted with an unhealthy option, practice Stop. Challenge. Choose.® Once you determine potential triggers, come up with healthy alternatives that will benefit your health goals. Instead of reaching for a sugary snack, go for a walk or reach out to our health community or your Coach for encouragement.

Slow down. Your pace when eating influences how much you eat. Your appetite is controlled by hormones and it can take your brain about 20 minutes to receive the message that you’re full. Eating slowly allows your brain the time to process that you’re full.

Drink water.* Drinking at least 64 oz. of water each day keeps you hydrated and can contribute to weight loss and maintenance. Having water instead of other beverages reduces calorie and sugar intake.
